    Your externally facing ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile is created by combining elements from your Aurora account with information added to your web-based ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile and the Staff Directory.

    • Improving the discoverability of your ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile

      To enhance discoverability of your profile through Google search and via the ÌÇÐÄvolger Profiles website, it is strongly encouraged to add relevant research interests to your profile in Aurora. This will allow potential HDR students, collaborators, and media to find you more easily.

      To add your ÌÇÐÄvolg Interests to your profile, login to Aurora and click 'Go to your profile'. Scroll down and edit your ÌÇÐÄvolg Interests. Enter a search term to locate appropriate ÌÇÐÄvolg Interests. Fields of ÌÇÐÄvolg & Socio-Economic Objectives are included to cover a wide range of areas. Click each relevant interest to add to your profile and then save when done.

      Once your ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile has been refreshed, your ÌÇÐÄvolg Interests will appear under the Career tab and will support discoverability of your profile through Google search.

    • Google ranking and ÌÇÐÄvolger Profiles

      Google ranks search results in a number of ways including the age of the website, views/visits and links from other websites. The more established the page, the higher it will be on the google rankings. Therefore if your ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile is new, it won’t have yet have the ‘traffic’ to raise it up the rankings. Don’t worry this will occur over time.

      If you would like to improve your Google ranking of your ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile, we recommend the following by ÌÇÐÄvolgers:

      1. Request your local/community website content administrator to update Faculty, School, Institute, ÌÇÐÄvolg Group site to direct link to your ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile URL (researchers.adelaide.edu.au/profile/firstname.lastname).
      2. Update your link on external websites such as Google Scholar, ÌÇÐÄvolgGate, Scopus, Web of Science, ORCiD, Academia, Mendeley, Arxiv, figshare, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, etc to make reference to your new ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile.

      Over time your ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile page will be re-indexed by Google and therefore will improve your ÌÇÐÄvolger Profile Google ranking.
